University today

The University today is a multi–functional complex combining modern educational technologies, advanced scientific research and business-oriented projects. Applied educational programs are being implemented in their own educational and production laboratories (restaurant model; confectionery shop; bakery; biotechnological laboratories; dairy and probiotic production). MGUTU conducts targeted training for the needs of industry and specific companies.

The university's place in the ranking speaks primarily about its prestige. In 2022, MGUTU entered the 3 main Russian university rankings at once. The University is among the 350 best higher education institutions in the Developing Europe and Central Asia region The British company QS Quacquarelli Symonds presents a Russified version of the QS EECA University Rankings 2021/22, covering universities in developing countries of Europe and Central Asia.

It’s in 23rd place in the ranking of Moscow universities and 45th place among all Russian universities
